The house which is located only 4 miles from Gwithian beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the West of Cornwall; is a modern, beautifully furnished and well appointed property with a private garden complete with fabulous breeze house and a raised terraced area with gas fired BBQ. Penponds is a small village surrounded by lovely countryside but only 1 mile from the larger town of Camborne where you will find supermarkets and all the regular facilities. Iconic St Ives is just over 10 miles away and the county capital of Truro only 15 miles away, making The Old Haybarn an ideal base for touring the whole of West Cornwall.
Accommodation
In order to fully appreciate the far reaching views the accommodation in the Haybarn is reverse level.
Ground Floor: Entrance door into the hallway with utility area, complete with washing machine, Belfast sink and granite work surface. Two large double bedrooms; one with super king size bed and ensuite shower room; the second with a king size bed. Both rooms benefit from lots of storage, duck down bedding and TV’s (one with freeview, one plays DVD’s only). The family bathroom has a bath with quality mira shower over. There is also a fabulous “snug” downstairs with large low level sofa (which could double up as child’s bed if required)the perfect room for quietly reading or watching TV/DVD.
Up the wooden stair case is a large open plan kitchen / living area. The modern kitchen is fully fitted with high spec appliances including double oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, large fridge / freezer and granite work surface. The living area has a dining table seating 6 people, a comfortable leather corner sofa (seating 4), modern log burner and 42” flat screen TV.
Double French doors open on to a large decked area with fabulous country views towards St Ives and a large gas BBQ. The decked area runs around one side of the property leading to steps down to the private garden which is mainly laid to lawn with well stocked flower beds. Within the garden is a wonderful breeze house which has retractable sides, lighting, an overhead heater and electric points, making it the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun set!

Miscellaneous
The driveway leads you around to the back of the property, with safe private parking for at least 2 cars and fields to one side. There is a small gravelled area leading to the front door. The Old Haybarn is set within a traditional courtyard setting with the original farmhouse and a converted barn also on site; but the property is extremely private and would make the ideal base for a family or couples alike.
