Traditional granite detached farm house in a beautiful country setting. The house which is located only 4 miles from Gwithian beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the West of Cornwall; is a comfortable and tastefully furnished property with a private walled front garden and a terraced area to the side which benefits from sunshine all day. Penponds is a small village surrounded by lovely countryside but only 1 mile from the larger town of Camborne where you will find supermarkets and all the regular facilities. Iconic St Ives is just over 10 miles away and the county capital of Truro only 15 miles away, making Penponds Farm an ideal base for touring the whole of West Cornwall.
Accommodation
Ground Floor: Entrance door into the heart of the house, the 30ft long kitchen/diner. The kitchen is packed full of high spec appliances, granite worktops and a traditional Rayburn which adds extra warmth in the winter months. There is a large solid pine table which comfortably seats 8 people and even a 28" digital flat screen, making this the perfect room for all the family! There is a spacious living room with 3 large sofas, 50' Plasma TV, DVD and stereo.
First Floor - There are 3 spacious double bedrooms all with good sized wardrobes and 1 single room. A beautiful big family bathroom with twin sinks; large power shower and a double bath.
Facilities and services
Inclusive electricity. Central heating. The house is fully cleaned before your arrival and all bed linen, towels (including beach towels) and the final laundry are included in the price.
Miscellaneous
You enter the property through a large farm gate which brings you in to a safe and secure yard area (ideal for children to play) with room for at least 3 cars to park. There is a terraced area with BBQ and at the front of the house a private walled garden. The Farmhouse is set within a traditional courtyard setting with a converted barn also on site; but the property is very private and would make the ideal base for both families and couples alike. Shop 1m. Pub 0.5m. Beach 4m. Pets allowed (maximum 2). Arrival/Departure: Saturday.
